Sagu Roman Catholic Primary School Receives Major Renovation
The people of Sagu Community wish to express their profound appreciation to Rev. Fr. PASCAL DEOANGYI a son of the community, whose efforts contributed to securing support for the renovation of the Sagu Roman Catholic Primary School through the Help Ghana Foundation.
The school had deteriorated significantly over the years, reaching a point where the condition of the facility became unsuitable for effective teaching and learning. This posed a serious challenge to the education and wellbeing of pupils in the community.
Recognizing the urgent need for intervention, Rev. Fr. PASCAL DEOANGYI drew attention to the condition of the school, which subsequently led to the intervention of the Help Ghana Foundation. Through the Foundation's support, the school has now been renovated and handed back to the community, providing pupils with a safer and more conducive environment for learning.
The community also extends its sincere gratitude to the Help Ghana Foundation for its commitment and support towards improving education in Sagu.
While this intervention represents a significant milestone, the school and the wider community continue to have important developmental needs. The Sagu Roman Catholic Primary School is still in need of a functional library and a well-equipped computer laboratory to enhance reading, research, digital literacy and technology-based learning among pupils.
Beyond education, the community also faces other pressing challenges, particularly the need for electricity extension and the absence of a health facility, which makes access to basic healthcare difficult for residents.
We therefore respectfully appeal to government institutions, NGOs, development organizations, foundations, philanthropists, corporate organizations and other well-meaning individuals to consider supporting Sagu Community in addressing these needs.
The renovation of the school demonstrates the meaningful impact that committed individuals and organizations can have on communities. We hope this intervention will inspire further support towards strengthening education, healthcare, electricity access and overall development in Sagu.
